Two women hit by car in Saudi Arabia


RIYADH – Two women survived after they were hit by a car while crossing the road in Saudi Arabia, according to reports on Tuesday (November 16).

A video taken from CCTV footage and shared on social media showed a group of five women trying to cross an undesignated area in Khamis Mushait area.

Footage showed a speeding car hitting two women and barely missing a third woman, who fell on the ground.

A Red Crescent spokesman said the incident happened on Saturday (November 13) at around 10:50pm.

The women were taken to a hospital and have reportedly survived the ordeal. One of the women sustained moderate injuries while the other sustained minor injuries, Akhbar 24 reported.

Police urged the public to follow traffic laws, and called on motorists to drive carefully, particularly in residential areas.
