Sudanese nationals who have overstayed their residence visa, visit visa or tourist visa in the UAE will be exempted from paying fines, authorities announced on Friday (May 19).
The Federal Authority for Identity, Nationality, Customs and Port Security made the announcement as a humanitarian gesture amid the ongoing conflict in Sudan.
The authority said that those who will be exempt from fines “include those who have expired entry visas, and residency visas if they have exceeded their stay in the UAE”.
