UAE, Qatar get visa-free travel to China

UAE, Qatar get visa-free travel to China

The UAE and Qatar are on the list of 54 countries offered visa-free travel to China, according to an official from China’s National Immigration Administration (NIA).

UAE passport holders can now travel or conduct business under the transit visa exemptions, said Mao Xu, director of the NIA’s Department of Foreigners Management. China also recently added Norway to its list of countries allowed visa-free travel.

They can stay in China visa-free for 144 hours in 20 major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chengdu, and for 72 hours in Changsha, Harbin and Guilin.

“We encourage travel agencies at home and abroad to help more foreigners visit China under these policies,” Xu said. Here is the full list of countries:
