After UAE residents recently enjoyed a 4-day Eid break, the next question is: When is the next public holiday?

With Arafat day celebrated last Saturday (June 15) followed by Eid Al Adha last June 16 to 18, the next long holiday won’t be until December.

But before that, Islamic New Year has been declared as an official holiday in the UAE and is expected to fall on July 7, which is a Sunday or part of the UAE’s official weekend. An announcement on the exact date is yet to be made.

The next holiday will be in December, with Commemoration Day on December 1 (Sunday) followed by National Day holidays on December 2 and 3, which fall on Monday and Tuesday respectively. ICA/Expat Media
