UAE leaders meet King Charles at COP28 in Dubai

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Britain’s King Charles at the COP28 climate change conference in Dubai on Thursday (November 30).

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed thanked the British monarch for his support on environmental issues and his participation in the summit.

On the sidelines of COP28, King Charles met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

On Friday (December 1), King Charles is expected to deliver a speech at the summit.

The COP28, which is held in Expo City Dubai, will run for two weeks until December 12. The Conference of the Parties (COP) is held under the United Nations. This year marks its 28th meeting, hence COP28, bringing together government leaders to negotiate goals to fight climate change.
