DUBAI – The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure has slashed the prices of cooking gas or LPG in the UAE by 24 percent.
Minister of Energy Suhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei, in a statement on Tuesday (September 29), said the decision is aimed at supporting the community.
The minister said that the reduced prices will help improve consumers’ life as well as increase competitiveness in the local market.
The new prices will come into effect from October 1. It comes after Adnoc Distribution announced in August a 116 percent increase of cooking gas prices in Abu Dhabi and northern emirates. ICA/Expat Media
