UAE citizens visiting UK exempted from pre-entry visa starting February 1

UAE citizens who will be visiting the UK starting February 1 will be exempted from getting a pre-entry visa and would get an e-permit instead, according to the UAE Embassy in London.

The latest travel rule was revealed on Wednesday (January 24), with the UAE Embassy announcing that Emirati travelers would qualify for the new Electronic Travel Authorisation.

“This step represents a beginning of a new chapter in the relationship between the UAE and UK,” said Mansoor Abulhoul, the UAE’s Ambassador to the UK.

“This new process streamlines travel between the UAE and UK, offering speed, enhanced accessibility and affordability,” Abulhoul added, “This is a significant milestone for both of our nations.

Emiratis traveling to the UK can apply for the e-permit via UK ETA app or on Gov.uk starting February 1. The permit is valid for two years and allows multiple entries into the UK during this period. ICA/Expat Media
