DUBAI – Get your camera out, folks. You could win a total of Dh45,000 from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and all you need to do is channel your inner photographer to get the best shots of Dubai’s public transport.

The RTA on Tuesday (June 22) announced that the photography competition will open on June 27 and run for three weeks until July 15.

Participants must take their most creative photos of any public transport in Dubai: Dubai Metro, Dubai Tram, bus, taxi, ferry or abra. Photography is not allowed inside RTA’s public transport modes and stations in Dubai to ensure commuters’ privacy and comfort.

Participants must submit a minimum of three photos, with at least one for each theme: Art and Architecture, Public Transport and Emirati Culture and Lifestyle.

Photos must be submitted via www.hipa.ae. Check out rules here

The photography contest is done in collaboration with the Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Award (HIPA).

The first prize is Dh10,000 while the second prize is Dh7,000 and the third prize is Dh3,000. Another 25 winners will also get Nol cards valued at Dh1,000 each.
