Sharjah emiratisation: 1,000 government sector jobs to be replaced

 

DUBAI – As part of a push to create more jobs for Emiratis, the Sharjah Government has approved the replacement of 1,000 jobs to place nationals in government departments in three years.

Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved the replacement of 300 jobs in government departments this year. A further 300 jobs will be replaced in 2022.

Dr. Tariq Sultan Bin Khadim, Member of Sharjah Executive Council, said that Sheikh Sultan is keen on launching initiatives to support the employment of nationals.

Bin Khadim said that interviews have been conducted for the positions of structural engineers, inspectors, contract coordinators, duty officers, proof-readers, academic accreditation co-ordinators, housing supervisors, procurement executives, accountants, archive clerks, legal researchers, museum guides, civil engineers, subscription observers, receivables auditors, e-services officers, computer programmers and medical staff secretaries.
