DUBAI – A 37-year-old Saudi man has sued four Nigerian men for physical assault, theft and sexual abuse after they lured him into an apartment in Dubai.
The Dubai Court of First Instance heard that the Nigerian gang attacked him after he went inside the apartment in Al Barsha to meet a woman he found through a dating app.
He told the court that he was attacked by the four men instead.
“They tied my hand and stripped me naked. One of the women poured boiling water on my groin and others were recording,” he told the court.
The Saudi said that the men continued to torture him and hit him in order to force him to give them access to his bank account and credit cards.
Under duress, he gave three women in the apartment the pin code to his credit cards. They later returned to tell him that the pin code was wrong and poured more boiling water on him.
He lost consciousness following the brutal torture and reported the incident to the police when he was able to escape from the place.
He was treated at Rashid Hospital for second degree burns.
Meanwhile, police were able to track and arrest the four Nigerian suspects. They were charged with illegal confinement, theft, sexual abuse, physical assault, causing a disability and issuing threats. The trial resumes on March 23. ICA/Expat Media
