RIO DE JANEIRO – Despite the earlier assurance of security for the athletes at the Rio Olympics, organizers issued a public apology to some Danish athletes whose valuable items were stolen.
Morten Rodtwitt, Denmark’s chef de mission, said that mobile phones, clothing and an iPad have gone missing since their stay last month.
Their delegation has already lodged around 150 complaints over problems in its 36 apartment in the Olympic Village.
