Pope Francis celebrates his first mass in the UAE at Zayed Sports Stadium. An estimated 135,000 people attended the historic papal mass.

During an inter-religious meeting at The Founder’s Memorial in Abu Dhabi, Pope Francis and Dr Ahmad el-Tayeb, Grand Imam of Al Azhar Al Sharif, sign the Human Fraternity Document to send out universal messages of tolerance and dialogue to the world.
On Day One of this historic visit to the UAE, Pope Francis arrives at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi where he was received by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and a UAE delegation that welcomed him with flowers and cultural dances.
