Liza Soberano, an actress from the Philippines, will make her Hollywood debut in the horror-comedy film “Lisa Frankenstein,” which also stars Cole Sprouse and Kathryn Newton.
The 24-year-old actress, who was born in California, revealed the good news in an article that was published on Friday by renowned entertainment news website Deadline.
The film, based on the novel “Frankenstein” by Mary Shelley, stars Newton and Sprouse as the leads. Soberano’s part has not yet been made public.
The film is being directed by actor-filmmaker Zelda Williams, the daughter of late actor Robin Williams.
Soberano expressed her excitement about her new position in an Instagram post.
“Ecstatic to be part of this film 🧟♀️” she stated in her caption.
She was also warmly welcomed by her co-star Newton, who appeared in both “Big Little Lies” and “The Society” on Netflix.
