PH: Malacañang website housing historical records suspended, sparks concerns on historical revisionism

The official website of Malacañang which housed the Presidential Museum and Library that contained the historical records of the Martial Law regime went down on Monday (May 16).

Former Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office Undersecretary Manolo Quezon III raised the issue in a tweet.

Quezon’s tweet raised concerns about historical revisionism in the light of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s impending presidency.

Malacañang later explained in a statement that the website had been “suspended while updating its content and security features.”

The museum administration also assured that all historical records are intact.

“Rest assured that the contents of the said website have not been compromised and will be made available to the public at the soonest possible time. Thank you,” the administration said in a statement. BKM/ Expat Media
