CEBU CITY – Boxing champion and senator Manny Pacquiao carried the Philippine flag to support Filipino athletes compelting in the Rio Olympics.
Pacquiao wasn’t the only celebrity supporter to give the Philippine team a boost: Former Gilas Pilipinas captain Jimmy Alapag and Ateneo Lady Eagle’s volleyball star player Alyssa Valdez also extended their best wishes to the Philippine team.
Meanwhile, President Rodrigo Duterte encouraged the athletes to give 100 percent for the honor of the country.
