DUBAI – Starting this October, loans of up to P200,000 will be available to eligible Filipino pensioners of the Social Security System (SSS), an official said.
The SSS Enhanced Pension Loan Program increases the previous loan cap of Dh30,000 to Dh200,000, said Judy Frances A. See, SSS executive vice president for branch operations.
The SSS official said that this is in response to request of retirees to be given low-interest loans for their immediate needs.
The SSS official said that only pensioners who are 85 years old and below may avail of the loan.
They must not exceed such age on the last month of the loan term or period of repayment or have any outstanding SS loan, she added. DAJ/Expat Media
