A nose mask while you eat? It’s real in Mexico

MEXICO CITY – Worried about being bare faced in public while having a drink or taking a bite? A Mexican scientist has designed a partial face mask that covers only your nose.

Scientist Gustavo Acosta Altamirano of National Polytechnic Institute in Mexico City created the nose mask to allegedly protect wearers from Covid-19 while they are eating.

Researchers in Mexico have claimed that the mask could provide some protection against Covid-19 for people as they eat or drink in public.

The mask has drawn mixed reactions internationally, with many doctors doubting it is effective in protecting against Covid-19.

Some said the mask may offer a false sense of security for wearers, adding that Covid-19 may still be transmitted through the eyes or mouth. MCB/Expat Media
