DUBAI – A new short film starring Liam Neeson will be played before each Emirates flight this October, according to the airline.
In the 30-second video, Neeson, star of the blockbuster hit Taken, draws attention to the dangers of human trafficking.
The Hollywood actor appealed for people to join the knowthesignsnow.org global campaign to end human trafficking by speaking out.
“If you are being exploited or you think you may have seen something, then say something,” the actor said.
According to figures, about 25 million people are trafficked every year, with one in four victims under the age of 18.
“Most are trafficked within their own countries and cities and are coerced into forced labour or sexual exploitation, often by people they know,” Neeson said.
Emirates, which is supporting the movement against human trafficking, has trained crew and staff to identify suspected cases of human trafficking. ICA/Expat Media
