DUBAI – When it comes to luxury patrol cars, the Dubai Police has the world’s biggest collection, and the latest to join its fleet is no other than a Maserati GranTurismo.
The 300kph supercar brings the number of Dubai Police luxury wheels to 15. The luxury patrol fleet includes a Ferrai FF, Bentley Continental GT, McLaren MP4-12C, a Bugatti Veyron and an Aston Martin One-77 – one of only 77 in the world.
The Dubai Police posted a photo of the ultra-fast Maserati GranTurismo on its Twitter page on Wednesday (May 15). The supercar has a 4.7-litre, V8 engine and can reach speeds of up to 300kmph.
Dubai Police Chief Major General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri said the latest patrol car is part of plans to expand police presence in areas of Dubai such as Burj Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard and Jumeirah Beach Residence.
Dubai’s first luxury patrol car is a Lamborghini Aventador, which made its debut while sporting the livery of the Dubai Police in 2013. ICA/Expat Media
