A free pre-booking system for parking spots is currently offered online at a famous Dubai mall.
Majid Al Futtaim, owner of several mall brands in the UAE including City Centre, My City Centre, Matajir, and Mall of the Emirates is running a new trial system that allows customers to pre-book their parking spot online before reaching the mall in person.
The pre-booking system will be accessible through the Mall of the Emirates app and shoppers can add their vehicle’s plate number, arrival time, and specific zone for their parking.
The pre-booking system is currently free of charge.
The system was created to cater the changing shopping behaviour and the influx of shoppers in both weekend and weekdays, according to Fuad Saharaf, the managing director of UAE Shopping Malls.
There is also a dedicated parking space for “Share” reward scheme members in the Mall of the Emirates.
The online parking booking is currently in the testing phase at the Mall of the Emirates and will soon roll out at other malls.
The UAE Shopping Malls group is also running trial phase for pre-booking system for parking spots at Mirdif City Centre for customers coming to watch movies at Vox Cinema. KSO/Expat Media
