Robin Padilla visits Dubai, Abu Dhabi, tours mosques

Robin Padilla shared photos of his recent visit to Dubai and Abu Dhabi with his family, including photos of the senator-actor visiting landmarks and mosques in the two emirates.

In many of the photos, Padilla is seen wearing a malong, a Philippine wraparound skirt worn by both men and women from ethnic groups in Mindanao.

Padilla was accompanied by his wife, actress Mariel Padilla, their two daughters and several assistants as they toured landmarks in Dubai, including the Burj Khalifa, Ski Dubai in Mall of Emirates, the Green Planet Dubai and the Museum of the Future where they took a jump shot.

They also posed for photos in Souk Al Bahar and in the malls where Padilla gamely took selfies with fans. The Padillas also enjoyed Dubai’s culinary treats and were seen dining in SLS Dubai for some pasta and pizza, as well as various coffee shops.

Padilla, who is Muslim, showed his delight at visiting the mosques in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. He posted photos of his visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque as well as the Abrahamic Family House that is comprised of a mosque, a church and a synagogue.

Of course, no visit to the UAE is complete without a desert safari and the Padillas did just that, posing for photos with camels as well as donning on Arab headdress. ICA/Expat Media
