Robredo maintains lead over Marcos in VP race and is confident she ‘will be victorious’

MANILA – Vice presidential candidate Leni Robredo maintained her lead over Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr on Tuesday.

Robredo widened the gap to 100,000 votes as of Tuesday afternoon, based on partial and unofficial results and with 91.09 percent of the votes counted. The latest tally showed that Robredo received 13,398,542 votes while Marcos had 13,213,130.

Alan Peter Cayetano and Francis Escudero trailed with 5,482,735 votes and 4,610,917 respectively. Escudero has conceded in the vice-presidential race.

Antonio Trillanes and Gringo Honasan both got less than 1 million votes each, with 802,253 votes for Trillanes and 721,669 votes for Honasan.

In a statement on Monday, Robredo said she believes she will win the vice-presidential race.

“Hindi sa pinangungunahan natin ang ating mga institusyon, ngunit may sarili po tayong operation quick count at nakikita natin na sa dakong huli, tayo ang mananaig (It’s not that we are pre-empting the [announcement of the election body] but we have our own operation quick count and we can see that in the end we will be victorious),” she said.  MFD/Expat Media[/expatmedia-article-content][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner][expatmedia-related-posts enable_pagination=”no” layout=”2-col” posts_query=”size:6|order_by:date|post_type:post|categories:67″ title=”MORE PHILIPPINES STORIES” thumb_size=”expatmedia-post-thumbnail”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner el_class=”col-md-4″][vc_column_inner][expatmedia-latest-posts read_more_text=”Read more →” posts_query=”size:10|order_by:date|post_type:post” title=”LATEST NEWS”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner el_class=”border-box border-box-mwidth business–popular-ad”][expatmedia-guides-posts posts_query=”size:3|order_by:date|post_type:post|categories:67″ title=”POPULAR IN PHILIPPINES”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_raw_html]JTNDYSUyMGhyZWYlM0QlMjJodHRwJTNBJTJGJTJGZXhwYXRtZWRpYS5uZXQlMkZjbGFzc2lmaWVkcyUyMiUzRSUwQSUwOSUzQ2ltZyUyMGJvcmRlciUzRCUyMjAlMjIlMjBhbHQlM0QlMjJCdXklMjBvciUyMHNlbGwlMjBhbnl0aGluZyUyMG9uJTIwRXhwYXQlMjBNZWRpYSUyMENsYXNzaWZpZWRzJTIyJTIwc3JjJTNEJTIyaHR0cCUzQSUyRiUyRmV4cGF0bWVkaWEubmV0JTJGd3AtY29udGVudCUyRnVwbG9hZHMlMkYyMDE2JTJGMDIlMkZBRC1zdWJzZWN0aW9uLWNsYXNzaWZpZWRzLTE2NHgyMDkuanBnJTIyJTIwd2lkdGglM0QlMjIxMDAlMjUlMjIlMjBoZWlnaHQlM0QlMjIxMDAlMjUlMjIlM0UlMEElM0MlMkZhJTNF
