An Indian suspect in the murder of a Filipina housemaid in Kuwait has reportedly died in a hospital, according to the Kuwait Public Prosecution on Wednesday (September 6).
The man, 35, stabbed himself after allegedly stabbing his 35-year-old Filipina girlfriend multiple times during the incident in Omariya area. Authorities said that the incident happened at the residence of the victim’s employer.
The Indian man had been in critical condition at the hospital before he later succumbed to his injuries.
Meanwhile, detectives have examined CCTV footage from the scene of the murder, which showed the Indian man entering the premises and carrying out the heinous crime.
The bodies of the Filipina and the Indian are currently with the Forensic Medicine Department and will be repatriated after police investigation and legal formalities are completed. ICA/Expat Media
