It was not immediately clear if West was serious about vying for the presidency ahead of the November 3 election.
If he vies for the presidency, he would be running against Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden.
Elon Musk, the chief executive of electric-car maker Tesla, endorsed West’s Twitter post: “You have my full support!” he wrote.
Many netizens, however, criticized the rapper, with many saying he is either “delusional” or is helping Trump win “by splitting the vote”. “Taylor Swift is still better than you,” another Twitter user commented. ICA/Expat Media
