Jo Koy is coming to Abu Dhabi this October for his second show in the UAE, and the comedian has promised fans an exciting show, with a preview of his Netflix special.
“You guys will get to see something before I shoot it for Netflix. I’m shooting another special for Netflix on November 10 in Brooklyn. You get to see it before I actually get to shoot it,” Jo Koy tells Expat Media in an exclusive interview ahead of his October 28 show at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The show is organized by BluBlood.
His UAE tour follows the enormous success of his show in Dubai last year and coming off the highly acclaimed Universal Picture film, Easter Sunday, and his Netflix special.
“I got some animated movies coming out on Netflix. That’s kinda like my home right now,” he adds.
Jo’s uniquely relatable comedy pulls inspiration from his colorful family that has reached all kinds of people and translated into sold-out arenas around the world including Asia Arena in Manila, The Forum in LA, ICC Theatre in Sydney and Radio City Music Hall in New York City, to name a few.
“Every time I go, I love to see the town and see the people and catch the vibe and energy that way,” Jo Koy said, adding that during his Abu Dhabi tour, his son will be with him. What’s in their bucket list?
“I’m going to live vicariously through his eyes, so whatever it is he wants to do, I’m going to be next to him doing it,” he said.
