Japan opens borders to Filipino, UAE tourists

Japan is now open to Filipino and Emirati tourists as the Asian country recently eased its entry protocol to allow leisure travelers from dozens of countries.

Authorities said leisure tourists from 98 countries on its “blue list” will be permitted entry, provided they book their trip through an accredited Japan-based tour operator.

Other countries in the blue list include Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Qatar, United States, Britain, China, South Korea, Indonesia, and Thailand.

Travelers from blue list countries are not required to undergo quarantine or test on arrival, regardless of their vaccination status. However, they must present a negative RT-PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to their flight. ICA/Expat Media
