DUBAI – Internet services were down for du subscribers in the UAE for a couple of hours on Tuesday (August 20) after a glitch affected the network.
Users reported seeing the message “server IP address could not be found” when they browsed websites starting at around 3pm.
Speaking to expatmedia.net, a du representative said they were working to fix the issue as soon as possible. No further details were given about what caused the problem, which the representative described as a “global issue”. Services resumed at 5:10pm.
Subscribers of telecom provider, Etisalat, however, were not affected by the issue and enjoyed regular internet services. ICA/Expat Media
