Hugh Jackman and Deborra-lee Jackman are separating after 27 years of marriage.
“We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth,” they said in the joint statement.
The couple, who celebrated their 27th anniversary in April, called it their only breakup. They said that their family is their highest priority and that they will move to “this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.” They have two children: Oscar, 23, and Ava, 18.
The couple met in 1995 on the set of an Australian television show where they starred. They married in 1996. Jackman is now 54 and Furness is 67. ICA/Expat Media
