DUBAI – A huge fire broke out at a local market or souq in Ajman on Wednesday (August 5), sending thick plumes of smoke in the air.
Firefighters were seen battling to control the massive blaze at the Iranian souq. The fire is believed to have started at around 6:30pm.
The nearby Ajman Specialty Hospital has been evacuated as a precautionary measure.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or injuries. The souq has reportedly been closed for several months due to safety measures against coronavirus. ICA/Expat Media
