DUBAI – What started as a small business venture in 2016 by eight Filipinos has now expanded to 10 Off The Hook Seafood Restaurant branches across the UAE, with two more restaurants opening soon.
The Filipino entrepreneurs were friends who set up Off The Hook Seafood Restaurant as a means to augment their income as expatriates in the UAE.
Continuing its expansion in the UAE, Off The Hook is set to open a restaurant in Al Manar Mall in Ras Al Khaimah in January, and in Fujairah in February.
“Opening two new branches in the UAE is a display of Filipino entrepreneurial spirit,” said Rolly Brucales, managing director of Off the Hook, during the contract signing in Dubai on Saturday (December 18).
Alvin Aliviano, one of the partners in Off The Hook Ras Al Khaimah, added: “We assure our loyal customers of quality food and great ambience.”
Edwin Aga, a partner in Off The Hook Fujairah, said expansion in the Northern Emirates is a testament to the thriving business environment in the UAE.
Aga also encouraged Filipinos in the UAE to become entrepreneurs. ICA/Expat Media
