Employment contract verification is mandatory for Overseas Filipino Workers.

The Migrant Workers Office (MWO) in Dubai and Northern Emirates has announced a new checklist of requirements for employment contract verification of Filipino workers in the UAE.
The updated list of requirements will take effect starting February 1, according to Labor Attache John Rio Bautista. The MWO Dubai and Northern Emirates was previously known as POLO-Dubai.
Employment contract verification is mandatory for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who were not previously registered with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) or have no existing record of deployment with POEA. Here are the new requirements starting February 1:
– Valid employment contract
– Valid passport
– Valid residence visa stamp or Emirates ID
Additional requirements as circumstances may warrant:
In case of discrepancy in job title: A company letter or any acceptable documentary proof explaining the difference
In case of discrepancy in company name: Proof of relationship or any acceptable document showing the relationship between company names.
In case basic wage is below Dh1,500, with total wage at Dh1,500:
– Salary certificate or pay slips for last three months, stamped and signed by employer, or bank statement showing receipt of salary
– salary undertaking of the worker affirming that he or she is fully aware of the basic salary indicated in the contract, which shall be the basis for his or her gratuity pay.
For OFWs without previous POEA record or those who registered with change of employer:
– Company business license or trade license
– Wage protection system record (if under MOHRE) or bank statement showing salary receipt
– Academic credentials
For Abu Dhabi and Al Ain visa holders working in Dubai or Northern Emirates: Company certification on exact work address
– Valid employment contract, with minimum basic wage of Dh1,500 per month
– Addendum to employment contract
– Valid passport
– Valid employment visa or Emirates ID
Additional requirements as circumstances may warrant:
In case basic wage falls below Dh1,500 per month: Contract must be amended at any Tadbeer center
For OFWS without previous record with POEA and those registered with change of employer: Emirates ID of employer
For Abu Dhabi and Al Ain visa holders working in Dubai or Northern Emirates: Proof of work address (employer’s billing statement, tenancy agreement, etc).
All documents must be submitted in two sets, along with a verification fee of Dh40. Representatives must bring an appropriate letter and Emirates ID copy.
– Holders of investor visa or partner visa
– Holders of husband/wife/dependent visa
– Documented workers (those who left Philippines on employment visa) vacationing to the Philippines for first time
– Documented workers (those who left Philippines on employment visa) who are returning to the same employer and job site and have an existing POEA record
– Workers with existing POEA records and working for same company but changed position or salary
– Workers with existing POEA records and working for the same company, but company changed or updated its business name (present company trade license as proof)
– Workers with existing POEA records and working for same company but changed from single status to married name (present new and old passport as proof)
1. Set an appointment. You can log on to https://owwadubaiappointmentsystem.setmore.com/
2. Visit the Migrant Workers Office. You can walk-in to the office a day before your scheduled flight to the Philippines. Bring a copy of your confirmed flight booking.
3. Online submission. You can submit documents online via https://www.polodubaiportal.org under the Online Submission System tab. The online submission form is open every Monday. Once your submission is approved, you can collect your verified contract and pay the fee at the office on the date and time of your set appointment.
4. Send a representative. Those who are outside the UAE can send an authorized representative to have their contract verified. The authorized representative can come to the MWO office five days before your return flight to the UAE, or three days before your OEC issuance appointment at POEA.
Meanwhile, the MWO warned Filipino applicants against dealing with “fixers”, saying that they should not pay unauthorized personnel to process the verification of their employment contract. ICA/Expat Media
