Etihad postpones resumption of regular flights to June 16 while repatriation flights to Manila, 13 other cities continue

Editor’s note: This story has been updated as of April 29 with new postponement announcement

DUBAI – Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways announced on Wednesday (April 29) it will delay the resumption of passenger flights to June 16, with only repatriation flights to Manila and 13 other cities in operation until then.

Etihad earlier said it was resuming regular flights on May 16. Those flights are now suspended.
On Wednesday, the airline cautioned that its new flight schedule could change if current restrictions are extended.

“Our aim is to gradually return to a fuller schedule as soon as it is safe for us to do so,” Etihad said in an earlier statement.

Etihad said that from June 16, the airline will “operate a reduced network”, and that travelers can book their tickets on Etihad.com.
