Dubai car test certificate issuance now paperless

DUBAI – Motorists getting their vehicles tested for registration in Dubai will get e-certificates instead of printed ones, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on Monday (August 31).

The e-certificates will be emailed to customers, according to the RTA.

The move is part of Dubai’s strategy to transform the local government into a smart government.

Jamal Al Sadah, director of vehicle licensing at the Licensing Agency of RTA, the paperless strategy also supports the UAE’s efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19. ICA/Expat Media
