Property developer Emaar announced on Friday (April 19) that it will repair for free any home within its communities that has been affected by the recent weather.

According to Emaar, it will cover all costs for repairs following the April 16 rain that sparked widespread flooding in Dubai.

Emaar Properties founder Mohamed Alabbar said they are “deeply committed to the wellbeing and safety of all our residents and stakeholders.”

“In response to the challenges posed by this adverse weather and heavy rains that Dubai has experienced in the past few days, I am pleased to announce that Emaar will undertake the repair of all properties within our communities that have been damaged by the recent rains at its own cost to ensure that our residents can return to their daily lives as swiftly and smoothly as possible,” Alabbar said in a statement.

Emaar’s teams have begun assessing and restoring properties damaged by the rain and the subsequent floods.

The communities under Emaar Properties include Arabian Ranches, Downtown Dubai, Emaar South, Dubai Hills Estate, Dubai Creek Harbour, The Oasis and Dubai Marina. ICA/Expat Media
