Dubai cuts fees for some 88 gov’t services


DUBAI – Dubai has cancelled or reduced fees for 88 government services to support investors and lower the cost of living in the emirate.

The decision was recently approved by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

Heads of government entities are authorized to reduce or waive any payments other than fees imposed for its services and products, after the approval of the Department of Finance in Dubai.

Government fees are cancelled for these services in Dubai:

Dubai Tourism
Tourism permits
Replacement of lost tourism permits
Tourism permits for people under 16 years
Permits for fashion shows

Roads and Transport Authority
Issuance of no-objection letters for transfer of traffic files
Permits for closing roads for major construction work
Fees relating to recreational bikes

Dubai Land Department
Replacement of broker cards for real estate agents
Amendment of information on real estate brokers

Dubai Courts
Issuance of certified copies of rulings of civil cases

Dubai Maritime City Authority
Residency visas
Processing of residency visas for applicants outside UAE
Issuance of employment residency visas
Urgent renewals of residency visas
Residency visa transfers from government entity to Authority

Dubai Municipality
Permits for labour supplies rooms
Re-issuance of cheques
Urgent medical certificates
Renewal of occupational health cards

Issuance of licenses for business centres
Renewal of licenses of business centres
Issuance of licenses for providing government services

Dubai Maritime City Authority
Renewal of annual representative office licenses
Replacement of lost certificates and licenses
