Umm Al Quwain is a small emirate located midway between Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman on the west coast of the UAE. However, don’t underestimate this small yet interesting emirate. Despite being small, this emirate has a lot to offer in terms of history, culture, and nature. Surely, there are plenty of places you can visit while you are there. Umm Al Quwain Fort

UAQ Museum is built inside a fort that once was home to the emirate’s ruling family and exhibits the local archaeological artefacts from Ed-Dur. You will also find exhibits showcasing the history of war in the region, especially old cannons.

Timings:
Saturday to Thursday: 8am to 2pm
Friday: 5pm to 8pm

Ticket fare:
Adults: Dh4
Children under 15: Free entrance

Falaj Al Mualla

The city was built in the 19th century and has been long associated with farming, fertility, and palm oasis.

It has a courtyard, mosque, and museum which feature an effects room, traditional crafts room, sea room, and more. The place also exhibits archaeological artefacts at Al Hasen museum inside the fort. If you’re a history lover, this place is perfect for you!

Al Sinniyah Island

This nature sanctuary is especially meant for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts since it is full of plants and animals like the rare Socotra cormorants, flamingoes, deers, and seagulls. This island also features dense mangroves with sandy beaches.

Dreamland Aqua Park

Dreamland Aqua Park is the largest family waterpark in the region with an area of more than 250,000 square metres of green, landscaped gardens for you to explore at the park.

Umm Al Quwain Zoo

The Umm Al Quwain Zoo is considered a hidden treasure of Umm Al Quwain and one of the most famous private zoos where you can explore wild animals and domesticated creatures.
