Donate to Gaza from UAE: Drop off centres, what to donate

The UAE has launched the Tarahum for Gaza campaign to provide humanitarian relief to Palestinian families affected by the ongoing conflict between Hamas and Israel.

Here’s where you can donate:

Malls

The Emirates Red Crescent has opened donation boxes in the following malls:

Emirates Red Crescent

The Emirates Red Crescent has opened donation boxes in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Fujairah where the public can donate food, health supplies and hygiene materials.

Abu Dhabi: Carrefour, Airport Road; Marina Mall Caravan; Shahama, Baniyas Co-operative Society; Khalifa City (behind the shops); Baniyas City (next to Lulu Hypermarket); and Al Shawamekh (in front of Lulu Express).

Dubai: Emirates Red Crescent Headquarter in Al Quoz; Umm Ramool, Al Garhoud; Carrefour, Mall of the Emirates; City Centre Al Shindagha; City Centre Meaisem; City Centre Mirdif; Arabian Centre.

Sharjah: Nekheelat Authority Office; Sharjah Co-operative Society, Helwan; Sharjah Co-operative Society, Al Dhaid; and Lulu Hypermarket, Al Hazana.

Fujairah: Emirates Red Crescent Headquarter; Al Bustan Hall; Masafi Council; Bidiyah Council; Hawaya Suburb, Khorfakkan; Suhaila Suburb, Kaiba; and Dibba Fujairah Co-operative Society for Fishermen.

Alserkal Avenue

You can donate cash, food, toiletries, tents, blankets and jackets at Alserkal Avenue from 10am to 7pm daily until October 30. For details go to alserkal.online/event/tarahum-for-gaza

What to donate

The Emirates Red Crescent listed some essential items that donors can include in their humanitarian aid packages:

Items: Towels, blanket, sterilizer, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, shaving tools, cotton balls, body cream, diapers

Food items: flour, oil, dates, corn, canned goods, tea, salt, sugar, biscuits, milk powder, baby food, dietary supplement

Online shops

The public can also make a donation through Kibsons and Noon. On Kibsons, use the code “DONATE” to triple your donation when you shop for items. Select Emirates Red Crescent as the address.

Delivery app Noon will also deliver essential items to the Emirates Red Crescent. Select Emirates Red Crescent as the address upon checkout, or make a cash donation upon checkout. ICA/Expat Media
