Christina Aguilera’s scheduled Abu Dhabi concert has been cancelled, with ticket holders set to receive automatic refunds.

The Grammy-winning US singer was due to perform at Etihad Arena on September 25. Ticketmaster UAE informed customers that the event would no longer take place.

“You will receive a full refund, processed automatically through your original payment method within 21 working days,” the ticketing platform said in a message to a customer.

Fans do not need to submit a separate refund request, according to Ticketmaster UAE. No reason was given for the cancellation and no replacement date has been announced.

The concert listing has also been removed from Ticketmaster UAE and Etihad Arena’s event listings.

Aguilera was originally scheduled to perform in Abu Dhabi on April 24 before the concert was moved to September. Her last Abu Dhabi performance was at Saadiyat Nights in February 2025, when she returned to the capital for the first time in 17 years. She also performed at the closing celebrations of Expo 2020 Dubai in March 2022.

The cancellation was announced amid a wider series of changes to Abu Dhabi’s major live music calendar, including the cancellation of The Corrs’ September 27 concert and the OFFLIMITS Music Festival. ICA/Expat Media
