MANILA – Cebu Pacific airline has warned passengers against scammers using fake websites and promotions to lure potential victims.
The airline has an ongoing ticket promotion to mark its anniversary this month, however, customers said its website has been inaccessible since March 1.
Cebu Pacific said its website and mobile app are “undergoing improvement” and provided alternative links to customers.
On social media, Cebu Pacific also issued a statement warning the public “against unscrupulous entities using Cebu Pacific and alleged promo fares to lure customers”.
The airline said fake websites are traps laid out by scammers to obtain people’s personal or bank information.
The airline said that only promotions announced through its social media accounts or mass media are official. Cebu Pacific offers flights between the UAE and the Philippines. GAD/Expat Media
