The screening of Bollywood movie “Fighter” remained suspended in the UAE.

Film distributor Home Screen Entertainment first confirmed that the movie was suspended in the UAE, but did not give a reason for the suspension. There was no official statement from the UAE’s media regulatory authority National Media Council.

The action-drama starring Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone was removed from cinema listings on January 25. It was set to release on January 27.

“Fighter” is also reportedly banned across the GCC, including Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. ICA/Expat Media
