Big Ticket: Indian expat in Ajman wins Dh100,000

An Indian expatriate in Ajman is now Dh100,000 richer after winning in the third weekly e-draw of Big Ticket Abu Dhabi, organizers said on Wednesday (March 29).

Singaram Sivanadiyan, a warehouse manager in Ajman, was one of two Indian nationals and a Mozambican who won the weekly cash prize.

Singaram, who has lived in Ajman in the last 20 years, has been pooling money with five of his friends to buy Big Ticket tickets in the past four years. The group hopes to win the jackpot prize one day.

The second Indian national to win Dh100,000 is Rahul Geetha Menon, who is based in Qatar. Menon is a safety supervisor in Doha where he has lived in the last seven years.

Menon will be sharing his prize with 20 people who pooled their money to help him buy the ticket. He said he has yet to decide on how to spend his share of the prize.

The third winner of Dh100,000 in the Big Ticket weekly e-draw is Sheniz Rahim from Mozambique where she works as a marketing director.

Rahim said she was visiting Dubai when she bought her first Big Ticket ticket six months ago, and has been buying it ever since.

When asked about how she will spend her winnings, Sheniz said she is yet to make any plans on how to spend the money she won.

Customers of Big Ticket who purchase raffle tickets are automatically entered into one of the weekly electronic draws that will see three winners walk away with Dh100,000 every week.

The draw for the Dh20 million jackpot prize will be held on April 3, and tickets for the draw are available for purchase on bigticket.ae or at counters in Abu Dhabi or Al Ain airports until March 31. ICA/Expat Media
