LAGUNA – A newborn baby has been found abandoned in the bushes near a river in Laguna, according to reports on Saturday (October 17).
A resident found the baby girl by accident after he heard cries coming from the bushes in Calumpang village in Liliw, Laguna.
Wilson Tubangbanua told 24 Oras Weekend he initially thought he was hearing things and ignored the cries for a while. When another passer-by also heard the cries, they both decided to look where it came from.
They found the baby girl wrapped in swaddling clothes and hidden in the bushes.
The baby has been brought to Nagcarian District Hospitality and is in stable condition.
Authorities are currently looking for the person who abandoned the baby. CLM/Expat Media
