DUBAI – Rents continued to be one of the pressing issues for Dubai residents in 2021, with the Rental Disputes Centre (RDC) of the Dubai Land Department resolving 8,713 rent disputes.
According to RDC, the rental disputes were resolved in the first three months of 2021.
“The department settled 8,713 disputes amicably, worth Dh2.533 billion in an average of seven days,” said Judge Abdulqader Mousa, Director of the RDC.
Mousa said this was part of RDC’s aim of “speedy settlement of rental disputes and reducing their time.”
He said that a specialized judicial system allows rental disputes in Dubai to be resolved quickly, with the Reconciliation Department allowing parties to settle disputes amicably.
