DUBAI – Plans for a mega marina in Dubai were unveiled at the 27th Dubai International Boat Show on Tuesday (February 26).
Expat Media was invited to the media preview of the unveiling of the new project that will be known as Dubai Harbour by Meraas. Here’s a sneak peek:
The mega project will feature three marinas in parts of Dubai, with 1,100 berths available to the yachting community.
It will eclipse the marinas at St. Tropez with 754 berths, and Italy with 300 berths.
Dubai Harbour will become the Middle East’s first yachting community hub and the largest marina in the Middle East and Africa.
It will also be the first and only marina dedicated to the berthing of superyachts, and will “set the standard for marine living” by providing a one-stop-shop that includes restaurants, cafes and retail outlets.
The mega marina will have its permanent landmark in the Dubai Lighthouse, a natural function lighthouse that will stand 150 metres tall. JMYDS/Expat Media
