DUBAI – Filipino star KZ Tandingan shared a duet with an Emirati vlogger who stunned the crowd when he started singing along to her hit Filipino song, Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako.
But this was not the first stunt that Fahed Al Baloushi of Emaratino Traveler pulled on the pop star on her recent visit to Dubai.
The Emirati-Filipino vlogger first showed up at KZ’s press conference at Datu club on Thursday, presenting the singer with a very big and heavy red box.
“House and lot ‘ata ‘to,” KZ quipped while opening the box. The gift turned out to be a blue rose in glass casing, a real-life version of the enchanted rose in Beauty and the Beast.
Al Baloushi’s surprise did not end there. The vlogger, all dressed in traditional Emirati wear, then sang a line from Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako that shocked KZ.
“It’s such an honor that you know my song!” KZ said.
“By the way, kalahating Pangasinan, kalahating local,” a smiling Al Baloushi told the singer.
At her concert at the World Trade Center Arena on Friday, the vlogger was singled out by KZ in the front row and shared a longer duet with the star.
“Bawi na ako syo ha,” KZ quipped after their duet.
