Watch: Daredevils zipline off Paris’ Eiffel Tower
PARIS – Daredevils have been jumping off Paris’ most iconic viewpoint for a week as part of festivities during the French Open.
The thrilling zipline rides off the Eiffel Tower end on Sunday, with around 100 rides planned before the men’s final at Roland Garros.
Thrill seekers were selected via an online draw. The ride starts from the second floor of the iconic tower, propelling participants 90km per hour to a small platform 800 metres away.
The minute-long ride aims to give riders a taste of what a smash serve might feel like, while getting a fantastic bird’s eye view of Camp De Mars park.
Organisers previously ran a first-floor zipline, but wanted a more powerful ride this time. The attraction is running 100 flights per day.
