DUBAI – Two cities in the UAE ranked in the top ten of the world’s safest cities in 2019, according to a newly released global crime index.
Abu Dhabi was named the world’s safest city, besting 330 cities around the world to get the top ranking for the third year in a row.
The UAE capital scored 89.39 in the safety index, with the world’s lowest crime rate of 10.61 percent, besting Canada, Germany and Switzerland.
Dubai also made it to the top 6, according to crowd-sourced global data website Numbeo, which polled nearly 70,000 people. Dubai scored 83.34 percent in the safety index. ICA/Expat Media
