More UAE rain forecast as forecasters say unsettled weather to continue

 

DUBAI – Unsettled weather is forecast to continue in the UAE with some rain expected in parts of the country on Sunday (October 20), according to the weather bureau.

On Saturday, heavy rain hit the east coast of the country, including Fujairah’s Masafi region and Ras Al Khaimah’s Wadi Al Ejili.

According to the National Centre for Meteorology, Sunday’s weather will be generally cloudy, with some rainfall forecast in the afternoon. Foggy mornings are also expected for most of the week.

Sunday, October 20

Fair to partly cloudy in general, some clouds will appear eastward and may be convective accompanied with rainfall by afternoon. Humid by night and Monday morning over some coastal areas with a probability of mist formation. Light to moderate winds, freshening at times. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Monday, October 21

Fair to partly cloudy in general. Clouds will appear eastward, may be convective by afternoon. Humid by night and Tuesday morning over some coastal and internal areas with probability of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 16 – 28, reaching 38 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Tuesday, October 22

Fair to partly cloudy in general and some clouds will appear eastward by noon. Humid by night and Wednesday morning over coastal and internal areas with a chance of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, with a speed of 15 – 25, reaching 35 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Wednesday, October 23

Fair to partly cloudy eastward. Humid by night and Thursday morning over some coastal and internal areas with a chance of fog and mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northwesterly winds, with a speed of 15 – 25, reaching 35 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.

Thursday, October 24

Fair to partly cloudy in general and some clouds will appear eastward may be convective by afternoon. Humid by night and Friday morning over some coastal and internal areas with a chance of fog or mist formation. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northwesterly winds, freshening at times, with a speed of 18 – 28, reaching 38 km/hr. Sea will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea.
