DUBAI – A two-year-old child drowned in the swimming pool of the family’s house in Al Ain, according to the Abu Dhabi Police.
Police did not reveal further details about the victim of Thursday’s incident, but said that it happened in Jebel Hafeet.
In a fresh warning, police urged parents to keep an eye on children, adding that negligence is the main cause of deadly accidents involving children in the UAE.
The child’s drowning on Thursday came a month after twin Emirati boys drowned in their neighbour’s swimming pool in Ras Al Khaimah.
According to investigation, the twins had sneaked out of their house and had gone unnoticed by their mother and housemaid during the incident. ICA/Expat Media
