DUBAI – A Jordanian student, 20, became a new multi-millionaire after winning the grand prize in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire raffle draw on Tuesday (March 12).
Tala bought ticket 4618 to win the $1 million prize. She and her father were on their way back to Amman from Dubai when she bought the ticket at the airport.
“I never thought that I would win this big at this young age. Thank you Dubai Duty Free for this wonderful news,” she said.
The student is the tenth Jordanian to win in the raffle draw since it began in 1999.
Also on Tuesday, Joyline Kilsangi, a Kenyan living in Bahrain, won an Audi R8 RWS V10 Coupe, while Indian national Shahul Hameedwon an Indian Scout Bobber. GAD/Expat Media
